Diesel QUESTION!!!!!
Hey guys i have a 2006 f250 4x4 Diesel that keeps showing a "water in the fuel" warning light. I took the truck in and had all the filters and everything done to it, the light stayed off for a few hours and then came back on. I took it to Wil Tiesiera and they said it could be a sensor. The truck runs fine, nothing different i can tell. What could have happend or what do i do? The truck has an edge Juice with attitude programer on it, could that possibly be throwing off a sensor or something?

Thanks for the input guys...Beezer i wish i would have known someone wanted it because i let my dad take over payments. When i went back to school i couldnt afford the payments anymore so my dad took the truck for me. Its a hella clean truck too Black, grey interior, brand new rims and tires, no scratches etc. 500HP that huge thing was wicked! I would have loved to just sell it and get out from under it. I love the truck dont get me wrong but i can't do it on this budget anymore. I lost a good job when the economy dropped and with that i had to sell all my toys.

But i finished school and now im certified in pharmacy so i should rebound ok lol.

Got it fixed. My husband changed the fuel filters and theres a valve that you turn that lets all the water that's collected run out. It was actually very easy the fricken owners manual tells you how to fix it.
Im happy now it was so annoying hearing that damn thing go off.

There is a water drain ball valve under the fuel filter! Just crack it open and you will see the water drain! Once you see diesel flowing close it! Only take about 20-30 seconds. That should solve your problem! No need to take it anywhere! And you should drain the water about every 3500 miles when you change the filter!
