it sounds like your warranty is a "Extended Warranty" because I know working with GM for years if it was Factory warranty IT HAD TO GO TO A GM DEALERSHIP! But if your purchased a Extended Warranty usually you can go to another shop......BUT you may want to check into that as some of the contracts state that if you are within 50 miles of the selling dealer you must take it back to them. And Also now to ALOT of Extended Warranty compaines are getting real tight on what they approve, they will send a adjuster out now on everything and nit pic your whole car and look for anything that will void the claim. Also now they are looking for ALLLLLLLL Service History Records.

Ask me how I know! Its what I did for a living for 8yrs. Just watch what you do and what you claim for warranty repairs.

Yea I just got a drive train warranty. Yea checked contract, just has to be a ase certified shop and I have to pay my $200 deductable.

Weve done some tbss,lots of lsx expierence.Done many peoples tunes on this forums.We also have a in house trans shop wit 20 plus years of exp in the tranny field and 20 years combined performance and general repair exp.I also work as a mech for the city of Fresno and we have excellent customer service.
