    A side hobby meet 1970 Honda CB350 K2

Alot of you probably never thought but i really enjoy fixing up old bikes! I bought this beauty from her original owner for $100 he bought her back in 1970 for $600 off the Honda showroom floor!

The Honda CB350 was the highest selling Honda bike of its day like the civic of cars today. It had a twin cylinder 4 stroke engine with a 5-speed gearbox. It ran 0-60 in about 7-8sec and had a top speed of 102mph!

This bike is complete i have torn it down some to investigate the condition. When i first got it the rear wheel would not turn so i took it off and replaced the rear drum shoes, cleaned up the hub and rim and put air in the tire and then installed a new OEM chain.

Another problem and is what is giving me the most dificulty is gas was left in the tank about 10 years ago which worked its way through the petcock and into the carburetors where it turned to jelly and royaly screwed the gas tank up.I need to find a place that can %100 clean all traces of rust from my tank! John told me of a place in Porterville that does it but the name eludes me right now. I also found a place online that sell's rebuilt OEM carbs for $200 and new OEM coil for around 150 euro's.

Other than that i have replaced the tach and speedo cables put fresh Honda oil in and installed new sparkplugs. Also had to clean and do some rust repair nothing major just surface rust well heres a few pics of the bike as it sits i plan on getting parts between working on the Camaro so progress wont be going as fast as i would like.

I need to get two air filters and find out if its the coil thats bad or something else. As soon as i get some time im going to go and test everything to see if anything is bad. I also need to get a new petcock as it leaking like a mofo.
