I picked up the bike for $400 from the guy at quality muffler off the east main extension in Visalia. He didn't have the registration and I haven't been to the CHP office to take care of all that yet.

I bought this bike for my girlfriend, but on her first ride she freaked out and just hit the gas! 30 feet later and hitting a tree root she flew off the bike (maybe next time I will rig a remote kill switch )

What do you guys think about paint VS powder coating??? Is it worth the extra costs. I would totally try the powder coating kit from harbor freight but I don't have a big enough oven.

Well My first step is going to be a rebuild kit on the carb, ill make sure to post some pics!

Hmmm, powder coat is a pain but keeps a hell of a finish, and is VERY durable as to where paint scratches off pretty easily, although inexpensive and not very time consuming to repaint.

PS - I'm just glad she didn't get hurt. Luke's little 50cc quad we bought him has a remote kill on it if he gets out of hand, and not a bad idea for any beginner!

I took the head to Clawson's to have it specked out. looks like 51mm bore is as big as it should ever get, my bore was 54mm that makes it 104cc and not the stock 89cc. So she is a big gal! I know that the bigger bore gives me more horse power but I wonder if it will have heating problems either way the cylender was in good shape and the piston looks good as well. I used oven cleaner to clean the valves and piston, it worked wonders! do you think that will do any damage?? either way the next steep is new gaskets then I am moving on to cleaning the tank

If you use a wire wheel (on a hand drill) on that carb you won't believe what it looks like then.

Ok, the engine is done. I did all new gaskets and a general cleaning. The piston was a weird size and I was not able to get new rings. I will have to adjust the valves when its all mounted up again. I got some price quotes on the powder coating job :( the bike cost me $400 and I am not going to spend half that price on just looks, so unless I find a fantastic deal rattle can it is :) thanks for the support everybody
