Joe I still think you should have not traded the LS1, and put it on the Datsun. you would been close to finishing it by now since you had all the parts. Just my opinion.

Sounds like you have too many things going at once, as long as you sell something and prioritize it's all good. Having said that, that 260z is f'n bad and so is that motor your selling.
I couldn't read the post on eBay because the listing had ended, but here you stated it was an RB26 and on the eBay title it stated it was an RB25. Which was it?
it a frankenstein build a rb25 short block bored over to a 87mm piston the rb26 pistons stock is a 86.5mm it has the rb26 head thats why the intake manifold is a rb26 greddy they don't make that kind of manifold like that for rb25 and the whole reason they did this is when you buy a rb26 they come with a awd transmission to get the rear wheel drive transmission you need the rb25 transmission the short block is the same as the rb26 but has a bigger bore but if you bore your rb25 to a rb26 size and bolt the better head from the rb26! you make a great frankenstein build that made 597hp on pump gas i sold my motor on ebay for $5500

Rb 26's are nice when you spend a lot of money on them... sure. but you just said your a student with no money doing 5 projects....and that dyno had a way too big a turbo. your making a street machine right? boost after 5k? come on. There is a lot of hidden cost in doing the motor swap (assuming your 260 didn't already have this motor in there) Wiring, mounting, what trans your going to use. different drive line, rear end...etc. I would stick to the dsm. You don't have to pull the motor to remove the oil pump on the dsm (and remove the balance shafts while your there) and make the dsm a fun car now, and future project car when you get money... thats my 2 pennies. but then again i like the dsm and i happen to be biased to the 4g63![]()
