Thread: adjusting the shift points

does anyone know how to adjust the shift points on a 65 C-4 transmission? i need to back down the shift point from 2-3.

it has to be done via govener inside the trans by changing springs and what not.

also just a heads up,if you bought a valve body for it,alot of aftermarket parts dont work with pre 69c4s

b&m in fresno put the shift kit in and i saw the paper work and it was for the 64-69 C4's and the valvebody that i put in is out of a 67 with the command stick shift patern. instead of the stupid green dot. i found out the otherday that it actually does shift into third it just does it higher than what i was trying to shift at so ifter i put it into drive it still was nt high enough. and after driving it and doing a few runs. i got it all figured out.
