I guess overdrive is for those of us that still want to drive the car more then just at the track with out killing the wallet.... I'm hoping all will be back together.may-june time next year...

dude for your build you are going to be just fine without overdrive or atleast i'd hope so since your gearing should be around 3.00-3.23 somewhere around that neighborhood, i'm sure you won't be cruising around in high rpm's like most lol

stayin with the 3.46 gear gear set for the goat is 600 bucks... not forking that out when i do a rear swap i will change gears

Stock gears, and TH350 is going to put you at 2550rpms at 55.. Not too bad..

Cost of a built 4L60 About 3Xs as much as a TH350.. hell I am going to try and learn to do it myself.. even better.. but thats not you.. so just for cost per season or two.. Cuz trans parts do wear out...

Then it saves about 40-50 lbs.. which couldnt hurt your almost 3800lbs car!!!

Just saying its one or the other, pretend to be fast.. or just do it.. you did just rip a car apart over a broken flexplate... that could of been a $60.00 fix... instead started a HUGE $$$$ build..

Lastly.. Gear ratio... 4l60 has a deeper 1st, which hurts when you need to hook...

4L60E gear ratios are 3.06,1.63,1.00
TH350 gear ratios are 2.52,1.52,1.00
