it has started *PICS ON PAGE 11*
for those of you that didnt know.. the GTO is down and out..
was drving down highway 41 and got into it pretty good.. when i started getting a BAD noise, so i pulled over cut off the motor and tried to start it again.. no luck so i thought something happen to the starter..
after laying in a puddle off the highway pulling the starter to find a chunk of teeth missing and parts of the starter in the bell housing.. after pulling the trans i found that my flexplate was cracked most of the way from center to the edge.
well i knew i was leaving soon so i wouldnt need a car.
fast forward to the car goin to storage with NO MOTOR in it.. lol
looks like i am goin to do a full build after deployment.
while i am gone i will be hunting down parts to build a turbo motor.
THE PLAN
well build 347 for boost..
forged H beam rods with arp2000 bolts
forged dished pistons 3.905 bore
boost friendly cam something like the speedinc tu1 cam 225/225. or something close to it.
head studs possibly goin to 1/2'' studs
keeping the LS6 intake and throttle body.
huge fuel system. lookin at the lonnies double pumper setup supports 1000whp+
looking at probably 80lb injectors
custom hotside design stolen from a guy over at ls1gto.com
for now keeping my PRC LS6 heads since they are good flowing heads with good port work.
getting my 4l60e built to the hilt! and crossing my fingers hoping it hold for a minute...
large intercooler.
the heart of the beast is goin to be
a turbonetics TC78 tubro with a 1.15a/r
i also plan on making the set up look good. with some powdercoating and paint work done..
plan is to have it tuned for the street at 10-12 psi hoping for 650+ l
and for the track go up to close to 20 psi with race gas... would really like to see 800 at high boost...
well here is the pan for the motor.. let me know what you guys think..
i get back in March should have most all the parts waiting for me and hope to have it up and goin buy this time next year..Last edited by yelo04goat; 08-22-2010 at 11:15 PM.

when you say custom paint ud probably want to match the paint scheme of the car so does that mean your guna paint yelloow sunflowers and bananas all over the car and motor, preferably a darker shade so they stand out
