    E85

So I've been doing some reading, with my Texas education, that's more like lookin at pictures I guess?? But I guess Sweden has started converting over to E85, with very few issues!!

From what I've seen on hptuners all that a few people have changed, was timing and afr tables.. E85 likes 8.50 afr, unlike gas at 14.7... But the point of this is to get some ideas, I know E85 comes out to about 106 octane, and cleans up the motor like runnin meth, heard it clean injectors up like new!! With our current gas already containing 10% of this stuff, converting over isn't as hard as it seems!! Ideas? Need input!! Johnny 5 is alive!!

Less energy per volume. Great for forced induction cuz you can spike up the boost and not blow anything up, just have to run a giant or giant fuel pumps and a hell of a lot of injector.

Not to mention you have to have a steel fuel system!!! It will eat everything else up over time..................small detail!

From what I've read, it's not as corrosive as once thought!! Methonal, however is, and alot of people confuse the two. I will copy some links here later on today, when I get a chance, but over all, the conversion can be done, with little to no hardware changes!!

I can see the need for a pump/pumps, just for consumption, I have seen some people list it as getting 20% less fuel mileage, when compared to gas, so the demand for the pumps would be major!!

I dont know about a huge pump, I am sure that as long as the pump can push the need, 255?? should be fine... and Inj sizing should be on par with Gas... IMO

nope you need 20%+ more fuel to support the same power.. where your 42s do the job now you would need 60s that way you see turbo guys that run e85 with 120 lbs + injectors... even though they could use 60s or 80s on gas..

also a 255 might get you by... but i know some people use flexfuel pumps for turbo motor cuz of the higher then normal flow...

I don't see a point of running E85 unless youre force induction. You do need bigger injectors and upgrade youre fuel system. You will need some tuneability becuase in the winter time they change it to E70/75, which needs 5-7% less fuel added.
Im currently modding my Talon to E85. So many new parts to my list but one for sure is injector size. I had 1180cc's now Im running 1650cc's.
Why not getting a Methanol kit?
