Need a good shifter????
hey guys, Im wanting to get a shifter but Im not sure which one to buy... Im running a 408 windsor back up with a build C4. Its a forward pattern, non manuel valve body . I like the TCI Outlaw, but the cheaper B&M Megashifter looks good as well as a Hurst V-Matic 2. any using any of these or any kind help or do you guys know of any others that are good but not ridiculous expensive. any advise would be appreciated, thanks!

B&M Pro Ratchet, best all around. Cheetah SCS by Turbo Action or an Art Carr/Winters if more race oriented.

get the B&M Star Shifter. Its only $170 bucks but its well worth it. I have one in my chevelle and it works great for 3 speeds. its got a really nice sequential like rachet mode so youll never skip a shift.
,Crew Cab Chevelle

Might not be the best looking or have the latest features, but the B&M Star Shifter is a really durable shifter.
A buddy of mine bought the one I have used and he put a couple years of wear & tear on it before I got it. While in my possession it's been in two different cars and in use for the last 17 years or so.
I would guess that poor shifter has about 20 years of use on it and it's still going strong as ever with me pounding on it relentlessly every time I drive the car.
ChrisCommon sense ain't so common!
