Pcm issues
Well on my mission to solve this #7 coil issue, after a new coil, new crank sensor, and readin out some wires, all that was left is the PCM. So I flashed the tune from the bad on in the car to my laptop, stole the one from the vert, and flashed it with the tune from the formula, which I was sure would work.. But yeah... The car starts fine, runs strong, but the trannys stuck in 2nd gear unless you manually shift it to 3rd, but it won't go down to 1st even from a stop, and won't shift up to 4th even when bangin off the limiter?? I checked the tunes, all looks the same as when I pulled it off the bad PCM, so I'm lost. If anyone has any ideas, let me know!!! I heard there is a nasty 408 car runnin a trans brake, that I want to go see!!!

yeah your computer has the tranny in the limp home mode. You need to flash it from a known good working pcm as far as the tranny goes. That should fix it. Had the same problem and yes the fo oh 8 in now Hipster-brake capable.

When I pulled the tune, it was shiftin just fine, just had that coil crap issue. But I think when it copied over all the stuff to the new PCM, that I missed something?? But your right about limp mode, it's like I can't get it up with Viagra!! Sad day!! So hipster brakin now?? Would love to see how it leaves.. Man all this bs'n on this 4l60, I should just rip it out for the turbo4 double 0! No tune required! Plus this 4L is kinda ify, maybe it's good, maybe glen olsen didnt build it back right, who knows!! For the money my boy paid to get him to rebuild it, we could of ordered a brand new one!!

Just so happens I have one of those. Has all the good shit, hardened shell, Corvette servo, you know anyone who might be interested. I'll have it freshened up if you want it.

Well got it workin, after some test and tune out here, she is doin fine. I am going to still make some small adjustments, but overall she is ready. Runnin out of injector up top, so the shift points are alittle low for my taste, but it's workin, so I can't bitch too much.

You know it! I'm just happy that's the end of my #7 coil crap code!! That thing was a pain in my ass, for a while now.. Just glad to see it gone. I need to get some wheels and slicks to stuff under it now, I've got 28 10.5s sitting out back, but I need wheels and tubes to fit them under the formula.. So a couple bucks away from the track set-up.
