    ls1'es don't make 402 and 408's

    you can't bore a ls one block, well technically you can .10 but that's just a clean up. Usually you use a six litre not a 5.7 and make them 383 392 402 408 427 454. The 6 litre is a 370 c.i. I believe ???
Stroke , stroke, stroke me. na na na naaaaaaaaaa!
    thanks for watching!!!

But no worries this thing will be back together in a matter of time..
We bore them all the time, its not a issue.FYI.

I was just looking at an LQ9 block on the Scoggin Dickey sight that didn't seem to bad price wise. Here's the link.

That really sucks that you didn't at least get to drive that thing a little more than you did before it let go. I guess it could have been worse, but that's easy for me to say. Hope you get it back together soon.

    Good luck,

You bore the LS motors or the iron blocks? I've seen a couple people "resleeve " an ls1 but I know it wasn't cheap, and from what I've heard the oem sleeves used a crazy method to holding themselfs in place.. Like a jagged edged to the outside of the sleeve... None the less, 6.0l fire breather is the way to go for me!!

You gunna make up some tee-shirts for the new shop, I need something else to wear!!

Nathan, I was under the impression he was going to build an aftermarket headed stroker from scratch.

If he didn't have his heart set on a new build I can see why he went for a $1500.00 complete take out. That's a cheap way out of a very large bill and should still run better than what he had.

Yeah, I looked at the options, and for a quick turn around, this was a better deal. I do plan to build a fully forged bottom-end but I wanted the car back rollin here quick. Plus I'm addin a few cubes this way, and these iron blocks can take a beatin, not to mention I've got away from that crappy 3.898 bore!!

I ran about 75 bottles threw my engine before a ring land went...If i had not been a cheap ass and bought a racetronic's 255 fuel pump my car would still be running.
