NOS with my TH350

I am thinking about getting a zex kit to spray 150 shot on my chevelle. I have a well built TH350 with a 3500 b&m stall that says it can handle 450 HP. Its suppose to have anti ballooning and all that fun stuff but I really don't want to wreck my tranny. So if the car makes 500 HP on spray is it going to die? Anyone have any suggestions. And does Zex make a good kit for beginners?

not goin to say your ok, cuz i dont know.. but im on a stock 4l60e only rated at 365hp and they are known for being weak.. putting upwards of 500 on spray through it... keeping my fingers crossed seems to work for me...

Guess I won't know until I try. Sounds like it might be worth a shot.

Is the tranny a basic rebuild or one of the b&m
built deals, cus they usualy down rate capacities
so customer dont go put crazy hp to them,id say
you sould be good for at least 5-550 ...

It wasn't a basic rebuilt. I had to find a long tail shaft th350 because I had the driveline shortened to put a 700r4 in it. after the 4th one of those I decided to go to the 350. Its got hardened somethings redline racing clutches and manual valve body. It wasn't cheap but I figured would be worth it in the long run. The only thing I have a HP rating on was the converter. Thanks for all the input guys.

I say run it man, see what she'll do. You're not running a brake or a ridiculous stall and spraying, you'll be golden. =) Let's play.
