You do that no matter what the other car looks like anyways...

On the essay, I did one on street racing in English 1 too lol. Its doable. I focused on the portion of it that is american culture. Not whether it was ok or not, but the fact that it's a part of our culture and instead of vilifying it, we need to make it accessible in a legal manner (more tracks and less money to run at them). When the first model t's got old enough to get for dirt cheap the first racers started peeling parts off to make them lighter, so they could get up to 35mph on the farmers back-roads lol. The first car companies promoted their cars via racing, look up the stutz bearcat . Street racing itself didn't get outlawed until the 50's, and then they called it Illegal speed contests, at which point the racers took to the salt flats and so on and so on until we arrive to modern day.

My opinion on the bias, lame. If I had the cash and time right now I'd swoop up a 75 Volvo 242, swap in an aluminum 5 cylinder with a huge turbo, bolt up a five speed, and embarrass the crap out of the local domestics. Until then though, I'll wrench on my slow ass vette, only the real car guys know its slow anyways lol.
