355 11.1 cr ,eddy rpm heads 70cc, clay smith custom grind , rpm airgap , 750 dp with some tweeks . th400 with brake/jw bellhousing/rev pattern /full manual and waaaaaay to much convertor 3500-3800 jegs that stalls like 4500 ..3.08 gears arent helping slip at all . its all i had so it went in . ive got a 3.73 12 bolt out of a 67 ss chevelle thats going in when i get out in the garage and clean/ paint it and install spring perches . its the first year out for this car . it was a granny 6 cyl car i built myself so it will get more stuff as i can afford / have time to do . im making this thing more driveable so im working the bugs out . when it was in the vega i really didnt drive it very far ...a&w and making passes in the country so streetability wasnt a priority . i built this car for me and ron jr to enjoy together ..also because his mother said he wasnt getting in the vega .. its our cruiser and it runs pretty good for what's in it ..big block is in this car's future ..im planning on putting in a new th400 with a shift kit for better driveability ..no engine braking sucks so the new one one will have forward pattern/ auto shifting ..if the new gears dont tighten up the convertor ill put a 2600- 2800 in it .
