Unfortunatly being a 70, it doesnt have the grabber scooped hood. That didnt come out till 71. It does have the spoiler though. And being a 70, it's only got the 200 I6 and 3 on the tree. 71 was the first year for 302. Oh well, it's a solid car none the less, and get incredible gas mileage, lol. Plus it gets a lot of attention considering its Grabber Yellow.

Yeah i got 250 in mine, Im gonna do the bumper conversion as soon as i can save up some scratch. I hate these big bumpers, i have a set of the smaller ones and the valances, but they all need to be blasted and painted. I did some body work on one valance, it had a small dent in it.

As far as the hood goes, I want the grabber hood but I might just go with cobra hood scoop. That way i wont have any clearance problems and its cheaper

but of course appearance will have to wait til i get the performance done first. Im tired of going super duper slow, plus i know the mav will haul ass with a mild 302 in it, i cant wait. plus it weighs practically nothing!! so its a good lil car.

I'm tellin ya, a 75 shot will wake that thing up! Just the torque alone from a shot of spray will make it so much quicker.

yea i know!! I got my bottle laying around just waiting to be used

I figure the last time I weighed the car it was at around 2900lbs. Minus the big bumpers and go from heavy ass inline 6 to 302, and some more weight cutting I should get it down to 2700. but thats a BIG guess.

all of this is gonna take a lot of time and a lot of money, guess which one i do have tons of? lol

Thank you for the compliment, yes mavs are semi rare, but i see more on the roads now a days then back then when i first got my car, which is good sign. plus the mav used the same mechanical parts as mustangs so i can sacrifice a stang to keep my car running

ur truck looks nice, ive always like those body styles. well Im hoping to make it down there for the next meet, when ever that is. If im lucky i will wash my car by then and will have my passenger seat in. Right now any one who rides with me sits in the back seat lol

Isnt it funny how when you buy a new car or truck you start noticing them a lot more and it seems like everyone has one? Lol. Yea i hear ya on those interchangable parts. It makes things super nice and cheaper too sometimes. I know there was a mav at a local junk yard i go to alot. It was super nice when it was first out there all complete and prolly only need a new engine and trans. Idk if its still out there though. As for my truck its getting an overhaul right now. Got tired of the stock 350 so a 383 stroker is going in. Hopefully it will be done soon i just have to save a little money for some high temp pain cuz i think i want to match the purple inside my truck to the engine block. Im always changing my mind on something. But yea shoot on down and check it out at the next meet. Everyone is hella cool!

purple people eater!!! nice color choice, purple is not a color used often but looks very nice. theres a purple mav sitting on dubs driving around fresno somewhere, ive seen it, lol.

yeah i got the mav back in 2001. i didnt start noticing mavs around town til about 2 yrs ago. Kinda crazy really.
