    Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Thanks Travis. If you got any ideas or advise I'm always open for it. Going to be sanding it down and I'm hoping to have it primered and all flat black by the end of the weekend (if the wife doesn't have a honey do list).

    I was thinking 383 stroker but 350 just might be enough for me. If you have any pros and cons I'm always up for ideas.

    hey

    welcome to the site/group

    if your looking for something for a daily driver, just find yourself an assembled short block 2piece rear main seal smallblock, slap some GM vortec heads, 650 carb and performer RPM intake, roller rockers and all that junk lol and a 270 isky cam w/ 108* lsa. that way your lobe overlap is about 5*. good touque cam.

    Hey guys. I got a buddy who will sell me a 350 block, a 400 crank, and double hump heads. Would that a be a good start to a 383? I'm still new to this so bare with me please.
