Ahh the Z...

I pulled this one from a field East of Exeter just off the 198 for a song, lucky for me it was non-opt'd and has a clean title.

Alot of folks think this is the same Z (BBZ) I owned for many years prior, which had a warmed over 454 Big Block Chevrolet under the hood. It isn't the same car. I sold that car in August of 2008. The reason they look the same is because they both are the same year, same exact hood, same wheels/tires, same air dam, and also painted w/gray primer.

I ditched the stock 2.8 litre I6 and 4 speed manual trans in favor of a 2005 LQ4 6.0 litre and 2004 GTO 4L60e trans/converter. I swapped out the stock cam for a mild Lunati Voodoo cam, LS6 'yellow' valve springs, hardened pushrods, and tossed it in the Z with a set of custom built Sanderson ceramic coated headers. I retained all the factory EFI after having the harness modified for stand-alone operation and the PCM edited to remove all the SMOG/emissions bullshit.

It runs great, ZERO traction under 50 mph regardless of what gear, need some sticky tires to really hookup.

Questions?

Maybe someday I'll drive up there for a 'Comeback Tour"....

Think anyone up there would actually remember me and/or the Z (besides you)? It has been been over 5 years....

In that case, maybe I'll come up and help their wallets lose some weight....
