Chiming in from SLO
Forum looks good, guys. Right on.
I'm just checking in from near San Luis Obispo, apparently a little further south than most of you. I was born and raised primarily in San Jose, went to high school in Modesto, left the US for almost a decade, and now I'm home in California, finally.
I'm a domestic guy at the moment, but dig everything. I've gone through boosted imports, 4x4's (which I still dabble heavily in), bikes, etc. prior to the current LSX car....which is a shell with a shortblock, at the moment. It'll be back in one piece in a few weeks, probably when I get tired of tripping over the tranny and diff on my garage floor.
After that, I'll try to hit a get together up in the valley or bay, as I get up there often.
Gratuitous pics of course.

With my old 5.0 in tow.

...Anyway, thanks for having me.Last edited by SlickShoes; 03-26-2010 at 11:36 PM.

Warranty? I think the only one of those I never immediately voided was the one that came with my mattress.

Parts: Well, it's mostly a bolt-on car, nothing crazy, stock shortblock and all that. It's disassembled because this is the third transmission and differential going into the car since last year. I blew up a pair of drivetrains inside of 1500 miles, so it's getting a T-56 and matching 30 spline differential out of an 1800 mile '07 Z06.
Thanks on the flares.... I get mixed reviews on those. Some say they remind them of bushwhackers for full size trucks. Fair enough, haha. Tires are either 345/35-18 Mickeys on 18x13" CCW T-10's if I'm participating in a "traction dependent activity" (
). For road course or auto cross, I've got a set of 18" CCW Classics that go on with Hoosiers, and otherwise, 335/35-19 and 275/35-18 Nitto NT-05's on Z06 Spyders (pictured) for daily driving.
